$750,000 OF HUD GRANT BLOOD MONEY!

NO RESPONSE FROM COMMISSION

Editor:

Judas’ 30 pieces of silver betrayal of Jesus is reminiscent of the current betrayal of Charlotte County citizens by commissioners and bureaucrats via their obsession for $750,000 of HUD grant blood money.

New HUD regulation, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, allows HUD to easily force change (using any statistics it chooses) on American populations HUD declares are not “free from discrimination” and where “disparities in access to opportunity, disproportionate housing needs and patterns of integration and segregation” exist. Massive suburban societal change/wealth redistribution are Obama’s goals. HUD selected to accomplish Obama’s intrusion into American communities’ societal decision process.

Key HUD arrows attacking American self-governance are now documented in all grant agreements, including the proposed grant’s six-year incorporation of over 100 “must do” compliance strings, including detailed personal information of every citizen benefiting from such grant spending; information then imputed into HUD’s existing societal database, which determines whether grantee’s area meets AFFH dictates. By taking this money, Charlotte will be at risk of forced federal societal change.

The National Review detailed dangers and why no municipality should accept HUD grants.

On Nov. 5, I delivered a letter and above article to each commissioner outlining the grant’s dangers, asking each to state their position and rescind the grant. Total non-response! Our officials cannot be allowed to put citizens in harm’s way, for societal change is the business of the people, not governmental- mandated tyranny.

If grant rescission is not forthcoming, voters must take appropriate action.
