Remember the story of the bathroom that was never installed for use at the Dr. Willard “Bill” Coy Preserve on Buck Creek? It sat unused and locked up for over two years. No doubt the county is paying attention to this Stop Bad Government in Charlotte County page because we received information from someone during the week between Christmas and New Year’s that they visited the preserve and noticed the bathroom had disappeared! Look at the pictures. Where did it go?
We found it — on Sunday, January 10th, 2016. It was at the Charlotte County Public Works storage lot located off of San Casa Drive behind the West Charlotte County Administration Center. Look at the photo of where it is now — still locked and unused but now it’s wasting away on the pavement at a CC Public Works equipment storage yard.
Will it ever be used as a functioning handicap bathroom? How much has the county spent purchasing and moving this bathroom around?
