2016 RACE

Charlotte County Government Insider has provided further update information on the race (or lack of) for Charlotte County Property Appraiser.

Looks like these candidates pay attention to Stop Bad Government in Charlotte County. Incumbent candidate Paul Lee Polk, hoping to replace himself with himself, suddenly submitted his January 2016 campaign finance report. He, like many of the politicos in Charlotte County, are trying to buy their way into office by dropping down a big chunk of change hoping to scare off any challengers. He gave a loan to himself of $5,000.00 (of his own money). (Wait until you hear about the Incumbent candidate for a School Board District seat dumping in $14,842.00 in loans to himself almost a year before the election!)

Candidates are required by law to have petitions signed by County voters to have their name appear on the ballot. To his credit the incumbent had his black on white petitions printed by a Charlotte County business for $91.69. The above review was posted just after midnight on 2/5/2016 & his Campaign Treasurer’s report was not on the County website even though it shows “Submitted on: 2/4/2016 18:43:10 (eastern). Funny how it suddenly and miraculously appeared on the website on 2/5/2016, only hours after the above Charlotte County Government Insider review was posted. Remember folks if the cat isn’t watching, the mice will play. Things haven’t changed, except maybe for the worse for Charlotte County voters, that’s why this Incumbent’s race gets thumbs down.
