Posted with this article you will see the fanciful estimated cost of
the county sewer system to be at least $1 BILLION DOLLARS.
The actual cost is anybody’s guess since these commissioners, CCU and the engineering contractors they have hired have underestimated actual costs between two to three times the real world’s lowest bids.

Readers will also notice the commissioners will use BP money to help pay for the sewers. That whopping $12.7 million will really help taxpayers defray that billion dollar price tag. No doubt the commissioners will drag out their tired old “we’ll get grants and funding” from many sources argument.

This MURDOCK VILLAGE like “sewer plan” will surely make Charlotte the highest taxed county in the state. And don’t forget that $1 billion dollars in unfunded capital projects and the hundreds of millions needed to repair and replace CCU’s current crumbling sewer infrastructure bills coming soon.

And these commissioners can’t understand why companies won’t relocate here and we’ve had zero growth for 10 years.
